Mini Crochet Octopus Earrings
The little crochet octopus was one of my first experiments with miniature crochet. I chose an octopus because it seemed easy – just a ball with legs. Surprisingly, these kawaii octopus earrings have become one of the most popular items in the shop. I had a few custom orders last week (hence the work in progress photos), and another two this week.
The octopi take relatively long to make, because each leg is crocheted separately and then sewn onto the body. It’s also kind of finicky to make them so small. I’m working on a way to make the legs as a single piece, which will cut down on the time and cost of these little earrings. I’ve been conducting experiments on the bigger octopi, that are included as free gifts with the earrings.
So, here are some cute free patterns for (normal sized) crochet octopus amigurumi:

And while I’m on the subject of octopi, here’s a funny video for an awesome game about an octopus:

This little tiger will be one of the patterns in the book i’m making.
